I was very honoured to spend Mother's Day this year with my friend Karen, her lovely mother Shirley and her gorgeous daughter Gemma. It is always wonderful to see several generations of one family spending time together, and it was truly a pleasure to photograph these three beautiful women enjoying each other's company. There is a certain kind of ease that comes with family, and being with someone you have known your whole life, and it really showed through in these photographs.
As you know black and white isn't my usual go-to editing choice, but Karen loved the black & white images from this session and I think they look classic and timeless in a monochrome palette.
