I'm not generally into New Year's resolutions. Sometimes I make one, rarely I remember to keep it. It's not that I give up, more that I forget what I'm supposed to be doing.
2016 doesn't involve a resolution as such, more of a challenge, something to make me think and develop my creativity.
I tackled Project 365 in about 2008. It became a 'Project 170-something' when I gave it up mid-year. i didn't get lazy or run out of inspiration, I just forgot and missed a day or two. Sometimes I had the photos but I wanted to edit them and I didn't have time. Or it was to difficult to post every day and by the time I got a chance to post I had a dozen images to deal with. It's not something you can easily catch up on, since every day you get something new to deal with, so I gave up.
In 2016 I'll be trying again, although of course it will be a Project 366 this year (although I did contemplate just skipping 29 February, since P#365 is a much cuter hashtag than #P366). This time I'm making it easy on myself. I'll be taking most of the images on my phone, and uploading straight to Instagram. The awesome creators of Instagram are to thank for the fact that the images will go straight onto my Facebook page without any extra clicks on my part. As for this blog, I'll try to post a weekly roundup of the images from the week, probably on a Monday. If it's not here, check out my Facebook or Instagram for daily images.
Your job is to keep me accountable. If I miss a day, be sure to let me know via Facebook.
If you're doing a Project 366 or something similar in 2016, let me know in the comments below so I can check out your images!
