Earlier this month I had the opportunity to photograph two gorgeous girls, Gemma and Abby, who have been best friends since kindergarten. I've photographed Gemma on a couple of other occasions (go here and here to see how she's changed over the past year or two), and it was great to see her again and meet her soul sister Abby for the first time. Gemma's last sessions were outside but this time we decided to try a whole new environment - the studio at Infocus Photography and Video.
The girls were having so much fun messing around in the studio we decided to get out the wind machine and get a little crazy...
After awhile the girls got tired of me having all the fun behind the camera and decided to get in on the action themselves.
We also went outside to check out my new favourite place to shoot. Yes, it's a drain, but don't hold that against it. It's actually a pretty cool location, lots of great texture and light. For any budding photographers looking to shoot in an area like this, these drains are part of the Ballarat creek system and meander all over town. It's just a matter of finding a way in without breaking your neck.
Graffiti and interesting walls always catch my attention. This was a random one we happened across in our travels.
At one point we found an abandoned shopping trolley, then things started to get really interesting...
I had an amazingly fun time hanging out with these two beautiful ladies, and I came home with a sore face from laughing so much. We had a fantastic time...even if I did miss half of the shots I wanted because I was doubled over laughing!
If nothing else, a session with me is always an adventure. I never know quite where we're going to end up or what we're going to do. Click here to book your next adventure!
